Alstom
175 years of locomotive production in Kassel
Our services
The year 1848 is considered a milestone in industrial history. On July 29, the first Henschel-built locomotive, called the Dragon, was produced in Kassel. Since then, locomotives from Kassel have left their mark on railroad history and revolutionized the world of locomotives.
In the summer of 2023, SXCES was asked to conceive, organize and implement a celebration of Alstom’s big anniversary: 175 years of innovation and passion for locomotive production in Kassel. Our compelling and innovative concept won the pitch against other agencies.
Four events over three days. A celebration, a staff meeting, an open house and a staff party with 12,000 attendees in all. Nearly 10,000 visitors flocked to the open house for a behind-the-scenes look, exciting train rides and family entertainment. A timeline of the past 175 years and historical exhibits brought history to life, while food trucks and a band provided the perfect culinary and musical backdrops.
From invitation management and the security concept to coordinating all activities, the SXCES team made sure the anniversary was a complete success from start to finish.
