The VW plant in Kassel is the VW Group’s most important transmission manufacturer, supplying all the group’s vehicle manufacturing plants. And as of 2020, this is the lead plant for battery electrification across the group.

In the summer of 2018, we celebrated the plant’s 60th anniversary. When 120,000 people spend their day at VW, everyone has to get their ticket, parking has to be available, public transportation has to bring the crowds in, the currywurst has to taste great, entertainment has to be provided across 2.4 million m2 and the headline act has to put on a good show in the evening. At the end of 12 months of planning, a one-of-a-kind event was created.
